 Furman Aquatic Center Overview

Other Features

Located in the heart of Ames, the 10 million dollar Furman Aquatic Center  includes a 550' lazy river . . . with a waterfall and two tremendous water slides both over 200 feet in length.  There's a 50 meter pool that boasts another huge 150' drop slide, basketball hoops, floatables, 3 meter platform and 1 meter spring board, and multiple lanes to accommodate both recreational and competitive swimmers alike.

Children, age seven and under, will be thrilled with the 5,000 square foot recreational pool.  Built just for them, it includes bubblers, spray features, a large play structure in the middle of the pool, a family slide and a toddler slide!

Taking all ages into account, multiple sun structures are located on deck, plus a convenient concession operation, four family changing areas, and restroom/locker room facilities.
